About the Class:

Visible Mending is a creative way to extend the life of your clothing and household items while embellishing them for a unique look. We will decorative embroidery with and without reinforcement patches, plus woven patches using Speedweve looms. You'll leave with a new perspective, seeing stains and rips as opportunities rather than disasters.

About the Instructor: Kira Dulaney has been teaching fiber arts classes and hosting crafty events since 2002. Kira’s teaching focus is on providing valuable information in a stress-free environment and supporting students through the learning process. She is also the designer behind Kira K Designs, a line of original knitting and crochet patterns and kits featuring clean lines and intriguing details that are both interesting to make and easy to wear.

Required Materials:

• Optionally, you may bring your own items to mend or discuss
• Included: the class fee includes a $45 materials fee, which includes the following mending kit - embroidery hoop, embroidery needles, embroidery floss, scissors, Speedweve style mending loom, choice of yarns and threads, fabric for practicing. Kira will have upgraded looms available in class for additional direct purchase as well.

In order to allow our instructors to prepare for their classes, we are not able to refund class purchases if your plans change. However, we are happy to transfer them if you find someone to take your place!
