About the Class:

The Perfect Tee Handbook is a pattern and then some. This is a project based workshop for a very special project. Knitter's will learn how to work top-down, seamless set-in sleeve construction. Within the handbook, worksheets are included for short row bust shaping, waist shaping, sleeve length and sleeve shaping. We will begin by talking about ease, taking critical body measurements and choosing a size based on Upper Chest measurements, then go through each worksheet so that every student can plan their knit precisely to the shape of their body, with the ease they desire. All worksheets can be used for other patterns going forward, but they include pattern numbers from Perfect Tee to make them extra easy to follow in class.

Top-down, set-in sleeve construction is the most universally flattering sweater style, as it mimics the shape of our bodies most closely. To work this style seamlessly, the sweater is constructed from two rectangular shoulder tabs. Once tabs are completed, knitters work a combination of knitting across live stitches, picking up stitches, and casting on stitches in order to set up their garment. Knitters will be provided with detailed swatching instructions so that they can cast on for their project in class and we can all work through the join together. We will cover several of the more advanced techniques for this pattern including: German short row shaping, provisional & cable cast-on, tracking shaping across multiple sections and tubular bind-off.

This workshop is accessible to knitters ready to work a more advanced construction style featuring a combination of both technique instruction along with pattern modification skills.
