About this class:
This is a 100% hands-on rag rug weaving workshop! Students will learn how to transform reclaimed clothing and textiles into durable, functional rugs using traditional weaving techniques. Participants will be guided step by step through loom setup, fabric preparation, color planning, and weaving methods suitable for beginners. The class emphasizes sustainability, creativity, and the satisfaction of making something useful by hand. Students will leave with foundational weaving skills and a completed rag rug.
Level: Intermediate
What you’ll need to bring to class:
All materials are provided, but they are welcome to bring any soft stretchy tee shirts, sweatpants, and leggings of colors of their preference.

We offer a unique, hands-on rag rug weaving workshop rooted in traditional techniques, sustainability, and the art of creating functional textiles. Our workshops are in ever-increasing demand, as we’re continually invited to bring this experience to new areas and communities. Each one-time workshop is thoughtfully designed to be welcoming to beginners while also giving experienced weavers the opportunity to learn a fresh technique. With an emphasis on confidence, creativity, and craftsmanship, participants enjoy a supportive, engaging environment.
