Customizing Socks with Different Heels and Toes - Lauren Rad - Fri. 7/31
Friday, July 31
2:00-5:00, 3 hours
About this class:
As sock knitters grow in experience, they often find that a particular heel or toe fits them better than others. For the knitter who wants to adapt patterns to use their preferred heel or toe, or the knitter who's still looking for their perfect fit, this class will explore several different heel and toe constructions, the scenarios where those heels or toes might be ideal, and how to adjust existing sock patterns.
Level: Intermediate
What you’ll need to bring to class:
Pen or pencil, a notepad or scratch paper, a measuring tape, approximately 100 yards of fingering
About the instructor:
Lauren Rad is a former lawyer turned knitwear designer who focuses on soft, romantic designs for knitters who want to escape the everyday. Her design philosophy centers on patterns that are just interesting enough to be engaging but not so complex that they lead to frequent mistakes. You can usually find her knitting socks in the sunshine when she isn't puttering about in her rose garden or hunting for sea glass.
Please note - Marketplace tickets are not included in the class price and will need to be purchased separately.
In order to allow our instructors to prepare for their classes, we are not able to refund class purchases if your plans change. However, we are happy to transfer them if you find someone to take your place!
