Frequently Asked Questions
(For Instructors)
General FAQ
How many teachers/classes will you be accepting?
Last year, we had around 70 classes across about 35 instructors. The number of classes we are able to offer varies based on how long each of the individual classes are.
Can I submit more than one class?
Yes, please do! We would love to see everything you are interested in teaching at our show.
How do you decide what classes are accepted?
Our biggest goal is creating a well-balanced show that features a variety of fiber crafts. This is reflected in both our vendors and our class offerings. We work to have a good variety based on what has done well previously, and what we think will be exciting to our attendees.
What kind of attendance did the show have last year?
In 2026, we welcomed around 6,000 fiber enthusiasts to the show over the course of the weekend.
Will you be keeping the show the same size?
Yes! We do not intend on expanding the size of the show.
Can I use the show logo / artwork?
Please contact us for permission to use the logo / artwork so we can discuss how it would be used. We commission individual artists for this and there may be some conditions they would like us to meet.
What are the show hours?
Friday, August 6 will be move-in and set up for vendors. We will also hold classes this day.
The marketplace will be open from 10:00am-5:00pm on Saturday, August 7 and 10:00am-4:00pm on Sunday, August 8. Classes will be held both of these days as well.

Class FAQ
What does payment look like?
We are able to offer $200/hour of your scheduled class time. If you are supplying materials, we also reimburse on a per student basis.
Do you pay for travel and board as well?
We can offer a stipend based on how far you will be traveling from. While we are not able to cover accommodations, we do have room blocks with both the Hyatt Regency and Sheraton Hotel with discounted rates that we will be able to offer you prior to opening it up to attendees.
Where are the classes held?
Classrooms are located at the Summit Building at the Seattle Convention Center, on the third floor - one floor above the marketplace.
Can I get help during my class time?
Yes! Please let us know in the application if you anticipate needing a volunteer to help for your class time.
How long do I have to set up and clean up in the classroom?
You will have approximately 15 minutes before and after your class time. If you need more time than that, please let us know and we can see what we can do.
Venue FAQ
Where is Flock being held?
Flock 2026 will be at the Seattle Convention Center - Summit Building.
This is a brand new, beautiful building in downtown Seattle with access to public transit, hotel accommodations, food, etc.
Since it’s a new building I’m assuming the accessibility is good, but could you talk about that more?
We can honestly say that we are proud to be working with the convention center for this event. They have been so thoughtful in how they have created the Summit Building.
The space is fully ADA compliant, with elevators, escalators, stairs, nursing rooms, gender-neutral restrooms, and a quiet room.
If you would like to see additional information about the space, you can find out more here.
Will there be parking for vendors, teachers, and attendees?
Yes, the venue has a substantial number of paid parking spaces on location. There is also free parking in neighborhoods around the area and public transit if you need to park farther away. We are not able to offer vendor passes.
Is there air conditioning?
There will be air conditioning on Saturday and Sunday, but not during move-in on Friday.
If it looks like we're expecting a heat wave during this time, we will coordinate with the convention center.
What are the food options at the venue?
Like 2026, we will have a grab-and-go set up inside the marketplace with tables and chairs for people to sit and eat.
There will also be a coffee cart in the lobby space outside the marketplace, as well as a cash bar within the marketplace
In addition, there will be two restaurants on the main floor of the convention center, as well as three local spots right outside - Piroshky Piroshky, Monorail Espresso, and Pike Brewing. There are a variety of restaurants in the area as well.
