In this workshop, Alanna will guide you through spinning worsted style yarns using combed preparations and worsted preparation fibers. You will explore drafting techniques that support a smoother yarn, learn how to manage twist and grist for strength and consistency, and practice small adjustments that make your yarn more predictable. The goal is to replace guesswork with a process you can repeat. With a master’s degree in art education and years of classroom teaching experience, Alanna is known for her clear, demo-driven, step-by-step approach that helps students better understand technique, color, and creative decision making.
