About the Class:
This class is all about ways to tackle the alluring multi-colored, hand dyed braids that everyone loves to look at (and buy!) but many people struggle with the spinning results. This class will cover several different ways to approach spinning colorful braids, including: fractal plying, creating an ombre yarn and creating self-striping yarns.
Students will create sample yarns and have an opportunity to play with different techniques with some guidance as well as freedom to explore. I will have multiple types of hand dyed braids for students to choose from.
Students will leave the class knowing how to:
- Break down colorful braids in several different ways
- Spin braided yarns in several different ways
- Combine 2 or more different colorful braids
