Seaming and Finishing for Knitting and Crochet - Kira Dulaney

About the Class:
This class is for both knitting and crochet!

Neat seaming and finishing make such a difference in a handmade project, but so many knitters and crocheters don't feel confident in their finishing skills. We will cover weaving in ends, seaming in various directions, picking up stitches, crocheted edgings, and buttonholes. There may be time to address other techniques required in projects that students bring to discuss.

About the Instructor:
Kira Dulaney has been teaching fiber arts classes since 2002 and travels across the country. Her teaching focuses on providing valuable information in a stress-free environment and supporting students through the learning process. Kira designs knitting and crochet patterns and kits that are interesting to make and easy to wear.

Homework:
None

Required Materials:

• Three stocking stitch or single crochet swatches made with similar weight yarns
• Additional yarn in a similar size
• Knitting needles or crochet hooks in an appropriate size for your yarn
• Darning needle
• Optional: a project ready to seam and finish, swatches in other stitch patterns.
