This class will begin with a discussion about yarn construction and fabric drape and density, take you through my sampling process from start to finish, and then transition to a talk about grist, micron count and wool characteristics, as well as how to choose how much fiber to buy for a project. I am passionate about empowering makers everywhere to grab some fiber and begin the process of turning that raw material into finished yarn and then to a finished object you can take out in the world.
