About the Class:

Learn to design and knit your very own custom colorwork projects using mix-and-match motifs available in the Doodle Pattern Series by Pacific Knit Co. Perfect for knitters of all levels, we'll cover the 3 Steps to Doodles: how to choose your Doodle charts, yarn, and pattern shape. Makers will get hands-on arts and crafts time while the cut and paste hundreds of micro motifs to build their own personal Doodle chart. Then we'll talk about basic pattern shapes, including where and when to modify them. Finally, we'll wrap up with a little color theory and learn how to build high contrast, cohesive colorwork palettes. 
 
Once you've completed the class, you'll have the confidence to create your own unique colorwork projects!

About the Instructor: Jamie Lomax (she/her) is a Seattle-based knit designer dedicated to helping knitters learn how to knit design and knit something unique. She loves colorwork knitting and considers it to be like "doodling with yarn," in that a fiber-y illustration is created, line by line, as you knit the pattern. After designing the first Doodle pattern in 2020, she's now taken the concept into 30+ themes and 10+ base pattern shapes, and hopes to add even more as she continues to expand Doodles.
