About the Class:
This class is designed for knitters who want to elevate their skills by learning how to read and use knitting charts for texture patterns, cables, and lace. Students will explore the symbols, patterns, and techniques that make chart reading an essential tool in a knitter's repertoire.
What we'll cover:
Understanding Symbols
Chart Key Interpretation
Chart Orientation
Repeats and Stitch Multiples
Counting Stitches
Trouble Shooting
Tips and Techniques
By the end of the course, students will have the confidence to tackle charted patterns with ease.
About the Instructor: I became a self taught knitter in 2007. As the first knitter in a crochet family, I was considered a bit of a knit sheep. I’ve been clicking along for more than a decade. Now, I share what I've learned in my fiber journey as a teacher and content creator.
Skill Level: Intermediate

Required Materials:
- 1 Skein worsted weight yarn in a light color
- 5mm/US8 Needles or needles appropriate to your yarn
- Stitch markers
- A highlighter, colored pencils or highlighter tape
- A row counter
- Notepad Pen/Pencil
